Description:
In May 2004, Linda Della Donna, freelance writer, lost her husband, Edward Sclier. Having no one to turn to in her hour of need, Della Donna turned to the internet for support only to learn there was nothing available to her at that time.
It was then Della Donna created Griefcase honoring famous widows.
In a short time, readers and other widows began to write Della Donna seeking advice on how to work through their pain.
The rest is history.
History:
In September 2007, Griefcase honored Karen Doty, hospice nurse, who for more than 35 years aided terminally ill individuals and their families, with "Walk With Karen" raising funds to further Griefcase's work.
Doty and Della Donna first met and became fast friends when Edward Sclier lay dying of cancer. Upon hearing the news of Doty's sudden death, Della Donna celebrated Karen Doty's life and created "Walk With Karen."
It was Della Donna's way of paying tribute to a woman "Who had given so much to so many for so long."
Thus, Griefcase, a nonprofit organization, was founded to help widows and children of widows, and individuals going through the grief process.
Della Donna has written free ebooks, free ezine articles, hosted a free t.v. cable show interviewing guests offering helpful tips to widows and all individuals suffering the loss of a loved one, and more.
Today, Griefcase is a real website.
But Griefcase needs help.
Griefcase needs a home.
And Della Donna wants Griefcase to be adopted.
If you or an organization that you know of wishes to adopt Griefcase, please get in touch with Linda Della Donna.
