Description:
The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk is an aquarium, maritime museum and educational center that encourages and excites curiosity, understanding and the appreciation of science, the interrelationship of natural and cultural events, and global ecology as they relate to Long Island sound, its watershed and the global oceans.
History:
The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk is located on the Norwalk River at the mouth of Long Island Sound. TMA opened July 16,1988; the Aquarium educates and entertains through programs, exhibits, special events and displays, and its IMAX theater.
