Blood Services volunteers work at our community, corporate and blood donation center blood drives in Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, Norwalk, Stratford, Trumbull, Weston, Westport and Wilton. Volunteers create a positive and pleasant donation experience for our blood donors. Volunteers are in charge of registering donors, escorting donors and providing drinks and food at refreshment. To learn more about this and other volunteer opportunities attend a Volunteer Information Session. These sessions are held at various times throughout the month in both our Norwalk office at 596 Westport Ave and our Bridgeport office at 158 Brooklawn Avenue. The schedule of sessions is posted on our website at www.mfcarc.org. Registration information can be found on our website. If you do not have internet access you can obtain a copy of the Volunteer Information Session schedule by calling Theresa at (203) 683-4264 and requesting a copy be mailed to you. Please leave your name and mailing address. Adults and High School students are invited to volunteer. Volunteers must be pleasant, helpful and have a positive attitude. Must be able to commit to a minimum of 4 hours monthly. This position is for individuals interested in becoming general chapter volunteers and is not a community service requirement position. The Blood Drive schedule fluctuates each month and offers drives throughout the month at various times on a variety of days from Sunday to Saturday. An orientation and training session is conducted for all new blood services volunteers. This opportunity is sponsored by: American Red Cross Mid-Fairfield County Chapter
