The Art Students League is an inclusive and inspiring art school and community where students of all abilities are guided by professional artists to reach their highest potential.
Description:
Over 600 students attend this non-accredited school each month and are guided by professional artists in all areas of art, including painting, drawing, sculpture, fine art, prints, ceramics and much more. It is supported by tuition, foundation grants, private grants and the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District.
History:
Modified after the famous Art Students League of New York, the Art Students League of Denver first opened its doors in 1987. In 1992, the League purchased the Sherman School at 200 Grant Street. The 1893 building, beautifully restored through generous funding from the Colorado Historic Fund and major corporations, is a Denver Historic Landmark.
