Bienvenidos Food Bank
Our mission is to provide food to the residents of Northwest Denver while promoting respect and dignity. Our goal is to create a community that provides the tools to move away from hunger and toward independence.
Description:
The food bank distributes healthy foods including fresh vegetables and dairy products to residents of Northwest Denver every Thursday. We currently serve about 200 families each week, literally thousands of people every year, including Thanksgiving and Christmas boxes for needy families in NW Denver and beyond.
History:
The food bank started in the early 1980's and was then located at the St. Patrick Church. When the parish closed, the food bank to the Jubilee Center on W. 32nd and Wyandot, where it thrives today. It is an active, vital part of the North West Denver community.
