Adopt a Homeless Family for the Holidays Emergency Assistance

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on October 30, 2009

Provide holiday gifts for client families participating in Family HomeStead's emergency and transitional housing programs. Donors will receive written information on each family and will shop according to specified guidelines. New gift items only, please. This is a SECRET SANTA program. Although donors do not meet the families they shop for, all donors will receive a thank-you from Family HomeStead for income tax purposes as well as a written thank-you from the client family. This is a great opportunity for corporate, faith-based, service, family, and school groups to make a real difference in the life of a homeless family during the holidays. Please call Judy Mugler at 303-623-6514 between November 1 and December 1 if you would like to participate.

Donors must be able to meet specific gift delivery deadlines. All gifts are delivered to the Family HomeStead office at 999 Decatur between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. All gifts must be new.
