Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Volunteers are the backbone and the driving force in fulfilling the Red Cross mission. Without the thousands of people who have made the commitment to be trained and stand ready to respond, the American Red Cross would cease to exist.

Red Cross volunteers are of all ages and come from every walk of life. Some are simply repaying a kindness shown to them during their time of distress. Others want to share the blessings that life has given them by offering their time, talent and skills to help others. Collectively, Kentuckiana Red Cross volunteers work over 10,000 hours a month.

The Volunteer Engagement Specialist would work with the Manager of Volunteer Services to recruit, retain, and recognize our volunteers, schedule volunteers for New Volunteer Orientation and conduct follow-up interviews, and assist with annual Volunteer Appreciation and Recognition Events.

This opportunity is during business hours (8AM-4:30PM), and would keep a volunteer engaged 1-2 days a week.
