The mission of High Hopes is to improve the lives of people with cognitive, physical, and emotional disabilities through the benefits of therapeutic horseback riding and other equine-assisted activities, while serving the therapeutic riding profession through training and education.

Description:
High Hopes Therapeutic Riding is a non-profit organization founded on the belief that experiencing, riding, and driving horses significantly improves the lives of individuals with physical, emotional, and developmental disabilities. At the Sis Gould Center for Therapeutic Riding, we strive to provide a secure, challenging, and companionable environment that brings the extraordinary benefits of therapeutic riding and equine activities to a wide range of individuals through the sharing of our knowledge, compassion,experience and inspiration.

History:
High Hopes celebrates over 30 years of providing services to individuals with special needs. The High Hopes story is one of inspiration, transition and remarkable growth. We have achieved ambitious goals, especially over the last decade, and have made significant progress toward a comprehensive strategic plan. Directions:
 From Middletown - take Rt 9 South to I-95 North. Stay in the right lane marked "Old Lyme Exit Only" on the Baldwin Bridge. Take Exit 70 immediately at the end of the bridge. Turn left at bottom, then right at second traffic light onto Halls Road. At the end of Halls Road (the second light) turn left onto Route 1 heading North. Continue two and one-half miles to the CITGO station at Laysville Center on the right. Nearly across from the station is Town Woods Road. Turn left. High Hopes is approximately one-half mile on your left, just past the Senior Center
