The Green Street Arts Center

The Green Street Arts Center of Wesleyan University is a vibrant center for arts education drawing on the
resources of the University and the Middletown Community to enrich and transform lives through the arts.

Description:
An emerald sitting prominently in Middletown's historic North End, Green Street is a gathering place for people from all walks and stages of life to join together and explore the arts. We offer an array of events, exhibitions, classes, and workshops, serving local individuals and families as well as people from more than 25 surrounding towns. Green Street's three-story, state-of-the-arts facility opened its doors in January 2005, and includes sound recording, dance, visual art and performance studios, two computer labs, and versatile spaces for community gatherings.

A project of Wesleyan University created in partnership with the City of Middletown and the North End Action Team (NEAT), Green Street continues to evolve from a collaborative spirit of stakeholders who recognize that their community is a beacon of change.
