Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on November 13, 2009 |
Godfrey Memorial Library is a small but very active library, specializing in researching family histories (among other things). Docents are very necessary people who are willing to come in and spend time assisting patrons who need help finding resources. The Docents give tours of the library, explaining how our resources are laid out. They also help patrons to know which resources might be more useful. Part of our resources are on-line, so the Docents help patrons get on-line and then show them how to do searches there. Knowledge of computers and our collection are helpful, but not necessary as we can train anyone interested in this kind of work. This opportunity is sponsored by: Godfrey Memorial Library
