Welcome Desk - Smiles Required

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on June 30, 2009

Greet people as they enter the center and answer questions. Sign people up for classes and activities. Answer phones and transfer calls to appropriate staff. Most volunteers work a dedicated shift and day while others substitute as needed.
Our volunteers have formed friendships with each other and socialize outside the center together. Meet new people and get involved in our classes and activities. A very friendly and relaxed environment where there is always an opportunity to help someone, sometimes by just giving them a smile.

Training will be provided to new volunteers by staff and fellow volunteers. Receptionists work in pairs and someone is always available to answer questions. Hours are 8 am - 4 pm Monday through Friday. Volunteers work 2 or 3 hours shifts or as their schedule allows.

This opportunity is sponsored by: Estuary Council Of Seniors, Inc.
