Point-in-Time Count Of Homelessness
RSS XML FeedBackground Active Jan 14, 2009 to Jan 29, 2009

Will you help the homeless by signing up to volunteer for the 2009 Point-in-Time Count?

On Wednesday, January 28, 2009 hundreds of volunteers will canvass communities across the state to gather information about homeless children and families. We need your help to count them all! The count will be conducted in communities across Connecticut and we are seeking volunteers to help in Middlesex County. The canvass will take place from 7 - 11 pm.

In addition to counting the number of homeless, volunteers will also administer a brief survey to collect critical information about who is homeless, what caused their homelessness, and what services people need to get back on their feet.

All volunteers receive training, either in the weeks proceeding the Count or on the night of the Count covering the purpose of the event, safety, and instructions on administering the survey.
