The Professional Arts Consortium works to enrich the arts and arts education in Boston and throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Description:
The Professional Arts Consortium (ProArts) was incorporated in 1984 as an association of six Boston colleges dedicated to the visual and performing arts. ProArts coordinates programs among its members to expand educational opportunities and resources for participating institutions. In addition, the ProArts played a crucial role in creating the Boston Arts Academy, a public high school for the arts developed in partnership with the city of Boston. As a pilot school within the Boston Public Schools, the Arts Academy is charged with being a laboratory of innovation and a beacon for arts education for the entire school system.
