Volunteer Opportunity Details:

There are 2 volunteer positions available for this program:

1. ) Assignment: Clients make appointments to have their taxes processed by an accountant here at JVS. We need volunteers to help set up the room and computers as well as greet clients and assist in filling out intake sheets, organize and process paperwork. You will be responsible for helping to keep operations running smoothly and in a timely fashion. Requires good proof reading and customer service skills, ability to multi-task and someone who is patient working with people.
   
   
2. ) Become a certified tax preparer! go through a two day training and assist other volunteers in preparing JVS client's taxes; maybe even your own! Volunteers become IRS certified VITA volunteers and are needed at least one night a week for the duration of the tax season.
