Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on October 19, 2009 |
The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden is looking for "Garden Growers" to help in our nursery - learn to grow plants from cuttings and seeds, groom them for sale in the retail nursery and care for the plants as they wait to be picked for someone's home garden. This is a great way to learn about California native plants and how to care for them in your own garden! Join a team for one day a week, a 3-5 hour shift and get on the job training. Mondays and Tuesday especially need coverage right now. On the job training is provided always, but there is a formal training series starting February 17, 2010 through April 7th, Wednesdays from 2:30 - 5:00pm. Volunteers must be 18 or older. This opportunity is sponsored by: Santa Barbara Botanic Garden
We need volunteers who are free at these times
