2-1-1 Orange County, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, offers a comprehensive information and referral system linking Orange County residents to community health and human services and support. People call us for information on anything from donated food to drug rehabilitation counseling to children's dental care, and all of the programs we refer offer their services for free, at a low-cost, or on a sliding scale. Callers seeking assistance can dial 2-1-1 (toll-free) 24 hours-a-day and be connected to trained Information and Referral Specialists. This service is available in over 150 languages. Simply put, 2-1-1 is to human services what 9-1-1 is to emergency services.
