To provide a safe, supportive environment and resources necessary for homeless families with children to remain together while empowering them to become independent and self-sufficient.

Description:
Thomas House is a non-profit, temporary shelter available to homeless families of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. Located in an apartment complex in Garden Grove, the Thomas House Program assists families to become self-sufficient.Thomas House provides on-site and collaborates with other agencies to offer additional opportunities for families to achieve their goals and to plan for the future.

History:
Thomas House Temporary Shelter was founded in 1987 by a group of concerned citizens. Several of the founders remain on the Board of Directors. Thomas House started out by renting one apartment 21 years ago and now owns the apartment complex where the original apartment was rented.
