Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Enthusiastic volunteers are needed to provide support and assistance to the center’s Administrative departments, including Education, Community Relations, and Development. This is a great opportunity for someone to gain experience in the administration of a non-profit organization while making an impact in the lives of families and individuals challenged with Alzheimer's disease or another dementia.

Duties may include:
•Answering main phone
•Copying
•Filing
•Greeting guests
•Assisting with event coordination
•Data entry
•Creating packets
•Coordinating mailings

Opportunities are available:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
9:30-1:30 p.m. or 1:30-5:30 p.m.

Interested volunteers should be enthusiast and patient, have a consistent schedule, sense of humor and a friendly attitude and be at least 18-years-old.
Some administrative experience is preferred, including computer and clerical skills, however training will be included in the position.

Volunteers should be able to commit to one four-hour shift per week. Accommodations will be made for necessary absences (i.e. illness, vacation, appointments) and scheduling changes.

All Volunteers will be interviewed to ensure a proper fit with the agency and intended position. Volunteers will also receive an orientation prior to and on their first day of volunteering.

Volunteer supervision will be provided by the Project Coordinator for each department or Receptionist, while at the front desk.
