Book Doctor for The Early Literacy Program

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on August 20, 2009

The Early Literacy Program accepts donations of gently used books. Sometimes the books received are sick (damaged). As a book doctor you would help heal (repair) books, so that they can go back out into the community. By helping heal a hurt book you are ultimately providing books that are in good condition for children that might otherwise never have a book.

Willingness to tape spines, erase marking, cover un-erasable marking, and screen and label books for children. A quick orientation of the repairing process is done before the session.
Sessions are usually 2 hours with 10-20 Volunteers.
