Resource Assistant
Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on June 16, 2009 |
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys researching, organizing, and inputting data. Resource Assistants directly impact the lives of the people who call 2-1-1 for help by updating our dynamic 5,000-program database to reflect the most current information on community, health, and disaster relief services. This is a great chance to learn about health and human service agencies in Orange County! Responsibilities include researching and contacting local agencies, gathering information about the services they provide, and entering that information into our database.
Volunteers are thoroughly trained in database navigation and update procedures.
Because of the length of the training we offer, we are looking for volunteers who can commit approximately 60 hours in total to our agency.
Experience using a computer, willingness to learn navigation of an unfamiliar database, and verbal and written fluency in English are required.

This opportunity is sponsored by: 2-1-1 Orange County
We need volunteers who are free at these times
