RIDE's Mission: To support the Equine Rescue efforts of Minnesota Law Enforcement while providing and promoting Educational, Recreational, Rehabilitative, Therapeutic, Outdoor and Equine related programs for horses, horse owners, and the public.

RIDE's Vision: To develop and support inclusive programs that use outdoor activities and horses to create, empower and sustain individuals in healthy relationships with humans and horses.

Description:
Rescue/Recreation Involving Deserving Equine is a new non-profit addition to the SE Minnesota Equestrian Community. Promoting the rescue and rehabilitation of horses in need and the advancement of animal assisted, therapeutic and nature oriented programming for humans. RIDE's work is entirely volunteer driven and donor funded!

Our network of foster homes, care providers, mentors, therapists, teachers and other volunteers help humans and horses in a variety of situation with many levels of need enjoy nature and our rural programs.

Training of staff and development of our animal assisted and nature oriented programs is progressing at a variety of sites. RIDE is networking with other agencies to develop cutting edge programs that will fill in the service gaps left by other equine and outdoor programs. Volunteers with a passion for animals and people are encouraged to join in this exciting process.

History:
RIDE is the result of rescue advocates, horse and nature lovers uniting in SE Minnesota. Since it's formal inception in 2008, RIDE has voiced a commitment to offering cutting edge animal assisted therapeutic and nature oriented programs, rehabilitation services to horses designated in need by the legal system, and education for struggling horse owners.

Recruitment is underway for Board members and volunteers interested in animal assisted and nature programs or equine rescue.
