Christmas Anonymous

One Saturday a year, before Christmas, donated food, clothing, toys are set up as a shopping experience for eligible families with children. Dec 9, 2006 is the date. Located at Christ United Methodist Church, 400 Fifth Ave. S. W. Rochester, MN Parents select a new toy and a new clothing item for each child under age 18. Description:
Christmas Anonymous is a organization local to Rochester Minnesota, that has been in effect for over 50 years. It is a 100% Volunteer organization, who's sole mission is to help families and people in need in Olmsted county have a wonderful Christmas.

To enable that to happen, Christmas Anonymous accepts donations of food, toys, outerwear and bicycles, and then distributes these articles back to needy families.

Christmas Anonymous is 100% supported by donations from the community. There are no paid positions and we minimize our expenses by getting discounts and donations of goods and services whenever possible, as well as shopping for the best possible deals.
Currently we help others in three ways:
*Helping families in need via our 'store' where parents can shop (without paying) for New and Used toys, bicycles, Teen Gifts, boys and girls new Clothing, Hats/Gloves and Knitwear, used boots/skates, gift wrap and household items and used Outerwear as well as food for a Holiday meal for the entire family.
*Helping Seniors in need with boxes of food for a Holiday meal and stationary and other household items.
*Helping Group homes purchase items of mutual need.
