Description:
High Pointe I and II are the first Volunteers of America projects in Rochester. We provide affordable housing for older adults. We also provide a community of activity and socialization with a variety of opportunities for our residents.
High Pointe consists of two buildings with beautiful common areas and grounds. All of the apartments are one bedroom with (2)double closets. The bathrooms have safety features and walk-in showers. There is a nice eating area and abundant cupboard space. Each building has a community room, activity room and computer room in addition to lovely common areas. High Pointe I opened in 2001. High Pointe II opened in September of 2004.

History:
Volunteers of America was founded in 1896 by social reformers Ballington and Maud Booth. They envisioned a movement dedicated to "reaching and uplifting" the American people. On behalf of the organization, the Booths pledged to "go wherever we are needed, and do whatever comes to hand." That declaration has guided Volunteers of America's outreach efforts ever since.
Volunteers of America serves more than 1.8 million people each year.
