Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Residents of Samaritan Bethany Heights sometimes travel to clinics for medical, dental and eye appointments. Appointment escorts ride along on the bus, direct the resident to the correct floor and desk in time for their appointment, sit in the waiting room and keep the residents company on the necessary trips.

At Samaritan Bethany Heights, the medical secretary gives the Medical Appointment Volunteers an envelope for the doctor. When the exam is completed, the envelope is returned to the volunteer for the Medical Secretary.

Volunteer availability would be helpful right now. One option in the future would be to become the appointment volunteer for one of Samaritan Bethany Height's six neighborhoods. By choosing a neighborhood, you may have the opportunity to build familiarity with a smaller group of people who will also be thrilled to reacquaint themselves with you each time they have a medical appointment.

AGE OF VOLUNTEER: 18 and older. COMMITMENT: 4 hours. DAY OF WEEK: flexible, Monday through Friday. TIME OF DAY: flexible, business hour. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Training will be provided.
