Caring Hands massage is light and gentle hand massage that is provided for patients, family members or staff that have a need to decrease stress, anxiety or could benefit from some caring touch. Hand massage is a valuable complimentary service for patients and family members. AGE OF VOLUNTEER: 26 and older. COMMITMENT: We ask for a one-year commitment to volunteer. DAY OF WEEK:any TIME OF DAY: afternoons, evenings ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Must complete an application, general volunteer orientation. Training on hand massage will be provided with several practice sessions on staff before interaction with patients. Volunteers will wear gloves and follow standard precautions for infection control and isolation guidelines.  This opportunity is sponsored by: Saint Marys Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers
