Do you want to volunteer, but don't have much time? Then, this is the opportunity for you! Channel One Food Bank and Food Shelf is looking for a few volunteers to donate only an hour and a half of their time on the 2nd Tuesday of each month!
Volunteers are needed to assist with the Nutrition Assistant Program for Seniors(NAPS)at Central Towers in Rochester. NAPS provides a nutritionally designed food package on a monthly basis to income-eligible senior citizens age 60 or over. Volunteers will pick up boxes at Channel One, take boxes to Central Towers for delivery and return to Channel One to hand in signature sheets and any boxes left over. Volunteers would ensure all program participants sign for their boxes. This is a great way to help those in your community as well as learn about the NAPS program.

AGE OF VOLUNTEER: 18 and older. COMMITMENT: One and a half hours each month. DAY OF WEEK: 2nd Tuesday of every month. TIME OF DAY:1:30 - 3pm ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Volunteers must be good with people, detail-oriented, flexible, patient, and willing and able to follow state and federal guidelines. Volunteers will need to drive a van, truck, or SUV that can hold 19 boxes. Volunteers should be able to lift up to 50 pounds as they will need to lift boxes into program participants carts. This is a great opportunity for a couple!

5 Overall Experience    Experience rating
it was an amazing experience .
I was very honor to volunteer and help out, it was a learning experience. I learned a lot from how many people comes in a day to how people are blessed to have channel one available for them to seek for foods.
