Assist with kid friendly and family focused programs like Free Family Day and art classes. Volunteers assist staff with hands-on art activities, clean-up and set-up. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in gaining some teaching experience.

AGE OF VOLUNTEER: 16 and older. COMMITMENT: varies, 2-3 hours per month. DAY OF WEEK: varies, 1st Saturday o the month is Free Family Day. TIME OF DAY: flexible, 1 - 4 p.m. on Free Family Day, other times are available. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Art experience a plus, patience and enthusiasm necessary. From Highway 52:
Take the Second Street SW exit, head east. Proceed on Second Street until it comes to a T intersection at Civic Center Drive. The Art Center is directly in front of you, accessible via the circle drive of the Mayo Civic Center.
Parking Meters:
Meters are enforced 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except major holidays. Meters are not enforced after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays or on Saturdays or Sundays.
Free Parking:
Park free in any city ramp on weekdays after 5:00 p.m. and until 1:00 a.m. and weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.. The Civic Center ramp is across from the Art Center accessible from First Avenue SE. |
