We are in need of people to transport cats to veterinary appointments, TV appearances, and PetSmart. Also, at times, we require picking up medications and special food for the cats. AGE OF VOLUNTEER: 16 and older. COMMITMENT: 3 months. DAY OF WEEK: varies. TIME OF DAY: Somewhat flexible. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Must have a valid driver's license and be able to lift cats in carriers. This opportunity is sponsored by: Safe Haven Pet Rescue Inc

Overall Experience
I learned new skills, but mainly worked with fantastic people!!!

Worked with Terry Hagen on updating the 211 system in Olmsted County for 3 months. I hadnt worked outside the home for 8 years, and despite my disability was able to gain self-confidence and it also helped my 12-Step Program. I learned that helping others was essential to my Recovery from Chemical Dependency.
Everyone at the United Way was more than welcoming to me in every way. They even included me in parties and gatherings!!!
