  • Monitors the arrival and departure of youth and adults to and from program areas.
  • Warmly greets all members, guests, staff and visitors who enter the program area.
  • Ensures that members and guests present the appropriate card authorizing their entry into the program area and that attendance is properly recorded onto MTS.
  • Assists staff and visitors in accordance with the purpose of their visit.
  • Develops positive relationships with members and guests who attend program activities.
  • Helps to ensure the safety, security and appearance of the program area by keeping the check-in area clean and in an orderly condition.
  • Helps to ensure a safe and positive environment by monitoring youth behavior and interactions and intervening where appropriate.
  • Acknowledges all members, guests, staff and visitors who exit the program area.
  • AGE OF VOLUNTEER: 18 and older. COMMITMENT: one day per week. DAY OF WEEK: flexible, Monday through Friday. TIME OF DAY: flexible, during hours of operation. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Basic volunteer orientation and training will be provided.
