- Assists program facilitator with the implementation of program activities.
- Encourages member and guest participation in program activities.
- Utilizes effective guidance and discipline to maintain order during program activities.
- Develops positive relationships with members and guests who attend program activities.
- Helps ensure the safety, security and appearance of the program area by monitoring conditions and taking action where appropriate.
- Helps ensure a safe and positive environment by monitoring youth behavior and interactions and intervening where appropriate.
- Acknowledges youth who exit the program area.
AGE OF VOLUNTEER: 18 and older. COMMITMENT: one day per week. DAY OF WEEK: flexible, Monday through Friday. TIME OF DAY: flexible, during hours of operation. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Basic volunteer orientation and mentor training will be provided.
