Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on October 13, 2009

With a new school year comes another wonderful opportunity to make a huge difference in the lives of our non-native English speaking students at Mayo High School.
Homework Assistance Program with Peers (HAPP) is an after school (3:15-4:45 pm) program designed to support our non-native English students academically.
Each day you will learn a little about students from another culture and help them become more successful in America! You will experience a little of their culture and understand a bit better what life is like in other parts of the world and get the opportunity to share about our culture, as well as help them academically.

The program runs from October through mid-May. Whether you are able to volunteer one day a week, twice a month, or you are willing to dedicate each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to helping our children, I know you could make a huge impact on the success of these students and thoroughly enjoy your time there.

Sincerely,
Gregory Parker
