Y Mentors is a one-to-one mentoring program, serving Olmsted County youth, age 5 to 18 years old, who would benefit from another positive adult role model in their life. Mentors are able to develop their own self worth as individuals, give back to the community, and make a positive difference in the life of a youth. Plus, it can be a lot of fun.
AGE OF VOLUNTEER: 21 and older. COMMITMENT: one year minimum and 2-4 times a month (8 hour a month) meeting with your mentee. DAY OF WEEK/TIME OF DAY: flexible and determined by mentor and mentee schedule. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT: must enjoy working with children between the age of 5-18.
