Volunteers will welcome visitors and performers. Escort performers to the rehearsal room and to the stage. Thank the guests for supporting Hiawatha Homes and people with disabilities. Volunteers will be standing / sitting.
For the 24th year, the Festival of Trees - Celebration of Giving will benefit Hiawatha Homes. In the Rochester area, Hiawatha provides residential services for more than 130 individuals with developmental disabilities and the sometimes-accompanying medical disabilities. Our programs provide environments for the people we support, from children to adults, to choose opportunities for individualized growth, development, and community inclusion.
The Festival of Trees has become a holiday event anticipated each year during Thanksgiving week by the entire Rochester community. We are grateful for the wonderful support the community gives our special event.
AGE OF VOLUNTEER: 16 and older. COMMITMENT: flexible, one shift. DAY OF WEEK: Wednesday, November 25 through Sunday, November 29. TIME OF DAY: 10:30 a. m. to 7:15 p.m. There are three shifts; each shift is about three hours in length. The shifts are as follows: from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., and from 4 to 7:15 p.m. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Please visit our website at www.hiawathahomes.org for a volunteer form to complete and return.
