Volunteer Opportunity Details:

This is a unique opportunity to gain experience and to be a part of the Children's Dental Health Services Clinic team. The Dental Receptionist plays a very important role as the first person that our patients and their families meet as they enter our facility to receive dental care. The Dental Receptionist greets and makes families feel comfortable. The Dental Receptionist provides information and important forms for the families to complete. You will answer the phone and organize appointments for the dental hygienist and collect and file forms. This person will set the tone for a positive experience at our clinic.

AGE OF VOLUNTEER: 21 and older. COMMITMENT: our goal is to find someone that can work at least 4 hours a day, five days a week but would consider other options on a case-by-case basis. DAY OF WEEK: Monday through Friday. TIME OF DAY: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: the Dental Receptionists are provided with a 30 to 60 minute orientation depending on needs. We are very interested in volunteers who are personable, organized, and mature.
