Volunteer Opportunity Details:

This a unique volunteer experience to gain experience and be a part of the Children's Dental Health Services clinical care team. The Clinical Support volunteer works closely with a Dental Hygienist to help organize the clinical care area before and after the family visit. You will help bring out designated supplies for each visit (these may include tooth brushes and other dental supplies). As the visits conclude you will ready the clinical area for the next visit by discarding wrappers and other items. This person will work closely with dental hygienist and support the activities of the clinic.

AGE OF VOLUNTEER: 21 and older. COMMITMENT: our goal is to find someone that can work at least 4 hours a day, five days a week but would consider other options on a case-by-case basis. DAY OF WEEK: Monday through Friday. TIME OF DAY: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: the Dental Receptionists are provided with a 30 to 60 minute orientation depending on needs. We are interested in volunteers who have a sense of organization, order and interest in working in a team with children and their families.
