Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The Elder Network’s Faith in Action program is looking for individuals who are willing to provide transportation for seniors to their vital medical appointments. Many area seniors do not have friends or family who can drive, and can not afford private transportation. You can make a huge difference in someone's life by simply giving them a ride! Our volunteers control their own level and amount of volunteering. Faith in Action volunteers set their own schedules, choose the area in which they would like to volunteer, set limits on trip length, and choose how often they volunteer. Even giving a ride once or twice a month can make a huge difference!

AGE OF VOLUNTEER: 18 and older. COMMITMENT: one hour per week. DAY OF WEEK: flexible, Monday through Friday. TIME OF DAY: flexible, daytime hours. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Proof of valid drivers license,insurance and a criminal background check is required.
