Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home...and gives support to families seeking medical care for their children. As a HouseWarmer volunteer, you will staff the welcome desk, conduct tours, answer the telephone, accept donations, write thank you notes, carry out general office duties, and perform housekeeping duties.

One of our HouseWarmer volunteers shares: "Someone said, some people want it to happen, others make it happen. I am proud to be part of the Ronald McDonald House that is making it happen. The satisfaction that I get after doing whatever little I do at the Ronald McDonald House is beyond words. Mother Teresa said, we can do no great things only small things with great love. I want to continue to do these small things to the best of my ability so as to make my own life more fulfilling and hope that on the path of my selfish pursuit, I am able to sweeten someone else's pain, if not for long but only for a moment. The pleasure is mine and I am thankful to the Ronald McDonald House for allowing me to be a volunteer.

Sheba-HouseWarmer Volunteer

AGE OF VOLUNTEER: 16 and older. COMMITMENT: at least one 3 hours shift every other week for one year. DAY OF WEEK: flexible, Monday through Sunday. TIME OF DAY: flexible, 3 hours shift during the hours of 9 a.m.-9 p.m. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: complete an application that includes two references and a clear criminal background check. Volunteers attend an orientation meeting and two three-hour training sessions.
