Volunteer Opportunity Details:

While many volunteers enjoy patient/family assignments, some prefer to share their office skills with our hospice. Opportunities include phone calls, mailings, referrals, filing management and an Annual Memorial Service.

We have a training procedure that involves orientation to hospice and becoming acquainted with the operation of Odyssey. You will have regular in services. We also provide you with an annual Tuberculosis screening. You have the opportunity to receive Hepatitis immunization series if you desire to receive them, free to charge.

The initial four hour training is supplemented with regular inservices throughout the year which provide you the opportunity to develop a better understanding of hospice patients and their families’ needs, as well as build relationships with your co-volunteers. We also provide you with an annual Tuberculosis screening. You have the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis B immunization series if you desire to receive them, free of charge.
