Day Of Action - Money Matters
When your funds are little and your needs are big. Is this your situation?
Do you have a checking account and wondering how to get the most out of it? Are you trying to save, but can’t figure out how you do it? Are you wondering if you have a credit score? And if so, what is it? If you have asked yourself any of these questions, then this symposium is for you.
The symposium will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2009 from 9 am to 12 Noon at the Double Tree Hotel, 1616 Dodge Street. Free parking, refreshments and child care are available Admission is free, but registration is required.

Nebraska Mission Of Mercy
Volunteers needed to assist with Nebraska Mission of Mercy on July 10 and 11, 2009, Mission of Mercy will provide free dental care to children and adults from sealant to restorative work. Need dental volunteers (general dentists, specialists, assistants, hygienists, office workers) to work full day shift (6am to 6 pm) and non dental volunteers to work six-hour shifts: 6 am to Noon and/or Noon to 6 pm.
Non-dental workers will be helping process paperwork, serving food, escorting patients, translating, helping in daycare, and assisting with parking.

Kickoff For The 2009 United Way Campaign & Day Of Caring
Get a free LIVE UNITED t-shirt and help us make a little history! Help us form a human chain across the Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge on Thursday, September 3rd at 7:30 a.m. It’s a show of support for local health and human services, and for all who volunteer to keep our community strong. PLUS: we'll be collecting “personal/hygiene items” for local shelters. Bring your donated items, bring a friend, and share your strength!

Tri-County Disaster Vounteer Training Series
Educational Courses in Disaster Volunteering. Used to move concerned citizens along the continuum of Disaster volunteering, allowing them to explore and become enriched and educated responders when their community is met with a disaster.
