Although summer is just beginning, it’s never too early to start thinking about the upcoming school year. This year, why not make a difference by shopping for school supplies for those in need?
Through ACHIEVEability’s Adopt-A-Student program, we make sure students of all ages have book bags and school supplies so they can be prepared in the classroom. You can help us by sponsoring a child or parent with a back pack full of supplies.
At ACHIEVEability, we believe that education is the key to helping formerly homeless single parents break the cycle of poverty and attain permanent self-sufficiency. All clients must work and all clients must be in school working towards a degree. Because of this, we need backpacks for all of our kids, as well as the 130 parents in our program.

Once you sign up, you will be paired with the number of students you request, and will receive a list of suggested supplies.
Volunteers must be able to provide filled backpacks by August 7, 2009.
You can drop them off, or we can arrange to have them picked up.
