Description:
Kane Regional Center provides skilled nursing care to individuals who meet the requirements for admission.The staff seeks to restore each resident to the highest possible level of physical, mental psychosocial functioning with a goal of discharge to the least restrictive living environment possible.
History:
In 1958 Allegheny County opened the Kane Hospital in Scott township to care for 2,000 frail,elderly and indigent people. In 1983/84 the Scott facility was replace with four mini Kane's to provide care regionally and better serve the communities
