STEEL QUILTERS RALLY 600 VOLUNTEERS TO HELP ON NATIONAL TRIBUTE QUILT!!!!!!!! The Steel Quilters is a group of four quilters within United States Steel. A fellow employee at USS lost his beloved son, on his son's first day at his new job in the World Trade Center, September 11th. As a tribute to their friend and co-worker's son, the Steel Quilters are producing a quilt as a tribute to the September 11th victims and heros. The quilt will be a picture of the New York City skyline with sections on both sides for those on flights, in the towers and at the Pentagon. We will need local quilters to sew the blocks together.
