Mission: Public Television educates, informs, entertains and stimulates the imagination of adults and children alike. We make the best use of noncommercial media and related services to enhance the quality of life in our community by encouraging people to consider the issues and explore ideas, and by inspiring a continued sense of wonderment. The MPTV Friends helps secure the financial viability of Milwaukee Public Television by promoting and generating community support for its programming and related activities.

Description:
The MPTV Friends, is the fund raising side of Milwaukee Public Television. The Friends were established by community minded individuals in support of local PBS more than 40 years ago. We have one of the largest and strongest bases of volunteers in the Milwaukee community. Our volunteers come from over 11 counties in southeastern Wisconsin, including, Racine, Kenosha, Ozaukee, Washington, Dodge, Milwaukee, Waukesha, Sheboygan, etc.

The MPTV Friends was formed nearly forty years ago to involve the community in the efforts of fund raising for Milwaukee Public Television
