Description:
Creature Comforts offers volunteer opportunities to make one hour visits to senior clubs, assisted living homes, and nursing homes. We also have dogs in the Classroom Pet Program, 4-Legged Santa, Dog Fashion Shows, and host the Pedets, a group of dogs that do tricks in an one hour program at nursing homes. Dogs, cats, birds, and rabbits are all welcome. Some pets require up to date shots. Pets must be friendly with strangers. Dogs must have completed an obedience class.

History:
Creature Comforts started in 1993. We started at Ohio and 16th, at a nursing home that no longer exists. Our first location was run by the Lincoln Lutheran organization. Word spread about the program. We worked up to 24 locations. At present, we serve about 18 locations. Our pets are insured.
