Description:
Our 120 bed Skilled Nursing Facility offers a wide range of services including: long term care, rehabilitation services, occupational/physical/speech therapies, wound care, daily activities, a secured memory care unit and a central activity center. Our Assisted Living Residences consist of: Gates Hall, Shemanske Hall and Fairchild Hall (Memory Care). Each building includes a library, exercise room, activity room, laundry room, patio, daily activities, and community outings. Maurer Hall is our Activity Center which is shared by the members in our Assisted Living and our Skilled Nursing facility, It includes a Deli, Chapel, Resource Center/Library, Ceramics, Woodshop/Leather crafting workshop and a Pub.
History:
The Wisconsin Veterans Home in Union Grove opened in 2001 on the campus of the Southern Wisconsin Center. The 120 bed Skilled Nursing Facility (Boland Hall) opened in the Fall of 2006 and began admitting members on September 6, 2006. The Union Grove Veterans Home currently has the capacity to serve 235 members.
