There is an opening for a position as Coordinator for the Intergenerational Fairs. The fairs are events at which as many as 20 RSVP members, in cooperation with the individual Racine County elementary school, set up booths of hobbies. Fair participants interact with the young children and explain crafts and old fashioned past time activities. So many youngsters today spend various amounts of time with electronic toys; their eyes sparkle and shine as they see real toy trains, stamp collections, and artful skills such as photography, tatting, and basket weaving. Fairs are held four to six times per year. The Coordinator will be responsible for pre-fair and fair day communications with the school representative and the participants.
Event coordination and interpersonal communication skills a plus. This opportunity is sponsored by: Volunteer Center Of Racine County Inc.
