I am looking for mentors who will establish a honest relationship with an inmate and continue to have contact with them by phone or meeting in a public place after they are released. Then filling out a very short contact report. This is a part of a program from the Department of Corrections to research whether mentoring works. You need to like helping others, be able to keep health boundaries, care about whether inmates are successful in their work toward being contributing citizens. You need to be two years clean and sober, two years off probation or parole, or not currently have a legal involvement. This opportunity is sponsored by: Jail Chaplaincy of Racine County
