The mission of United Way Volunteer Center (UWVC) is to encourage people to directly and effectively impact identified community needs and serious social problems through volunteerism. United Way Volunteer Center is a direct program of United Way of Greater Toledo and United Way 2-1-1 and meets all standards of the Points of Light Foundation.
Description:
United Way Volunteer Center works with community partners to effectively:
Provide youth ages 14-24 the opportunity to make a difference through Youth United Way
Recruit and refer individuals who wish to volunteer their time and talent
Build capacity for volunteering by providing technical assistance through trainings
Address community needs by developing partnerships
Promote the need for volunteerism in our community
