AIDS Resource Center Ohio

AIDS Resource Center (ARC) Ohio is a non-profit, community-based organization whose mission is to provide services to those infected, affected, and at risk of HIV/AIDS. To this end, we provide comprehensive support services, HIV testing and counseling, prevention education, linkage to care, and advocacy.

Description:
ARC Ohio is the primary access point for a comprehensive continuum of vital services for those already infected/affected by HIV/ADIS. In addition to nearly 1,600 AIDS-related deaths, an estimated 3,600 persons living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHAs) resides within our 35-county service region.
Last year, ARC Ohio provided services to a record 2,165 PLWHAs and their loved ones. Of these, 94% had annual incomes of less than $20,000 and 72 percent had no private health insurance or Medicaid.
We provided services such as: homeless prevention; emergency financial aid; nutrition assistance; skills building; support groups; and case management, among other things.
