Funeral Consumers Alliance of the Triangle (FCAT)is a nonprofit consumer information society (one of over 100 in the US) that provides information, education and advocacy for its members and the public concerning end-of-life issues, including advance planning related to health care and disposition of bodies. We are dedicated to a consumer's right to choose a meaningful, dignified and affordable disposition of final remains in ways that are consistent with their values.

Are you interested in insuring that consumers are charged appropriately for funeral services received when a loved one dies? Would you like to better understand the intricacies of death arrangements and encourage others to pre-plan their own service, thereby saving their families additional stress? Join FCAT and help us meet these goals.

History:
Funeral Consumers Alliance of the Triangle is an affiliate of the national Funeral Consumers Alliance organization. The local Triangle chapter has between 800 and 1,000 members currently.
